PlayBoard Annual Conference 'Time for Play' 21st and 22nd October 2009

Putting play at the heart of Our Children and Young People - Our Pledge A ten year strategy for children and young people in Northern Ireland 2006 - 2016

In this, the 20th Anniversary Year of the United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child, this important and timely Conference guided by a host of international, national and local speakers will investigate play and leisure across a range of key themes, in a bid improve our understanding of play and leisure outcomes for chidlren, young people and communities. Delegates will discuss factors and issues which impact and support the implementation of play.   Essential considerations will be explored across diverse groupings i.e. local councils, planners, landscape architects, children’s services planners, Educationalists, extended schools, youth services, childminders, and child care providers.

Playday 09 'Making Time for Play' Wednesday 5th August 2009

Wednesday 5th August 09 is National Playday. National Playday is used to promote and celebrate the children's right to play as enshrined in Article 31 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Chidl (1989)
