"Working for the child’s right to play”
Since it’s inception in 1985 PlayBoard has campaigned, lobbied, raised awareness and developed partnerships in order to put play on the agenda of policy makers and resource providers.
PlayBoard’s strategic Advocacy Project which is funded through Altlantic Philanthropies aims to

- Foster positive engagement with local government, relevant departments, political institutions and the media.
- Research and evidence the case for play across social policy

- Support organisations, play providers and policy makers through technical advise and relevant information
- Offer training, good practice guidance, quality assurance and resources (such as a quarterly E-play and dedicated website).
- Work with members to strengthen advocating skills.
- Expand grassroot engagement aimed at developing lobbying capacity within play projects and with children and young people.
