PlayBoard has a number of models of effective practice which target areas of social policy for example: Positive PlayGrounds, which promotes play in the school enviroment. The objectives of this programme are to:
- Develop the provision of quality play/learning opportunities in primary school playgrounds.
- Offer training & development opportunities for thos adults working in schools.
- Encourage the development of children's social, personal & physical well-being through participation in the programme.
Other models include:
- Play Quest - promoting participation for children and young people
- Reclaiming Playspace - a community based model for play
- Fit for Play - aimed at tackling childhood obesity through physcial play and healthy eating
- Positive PlayGrounds - promoting play within the school estate
- Out of School Hours Learning - aimed at exploring the relationship between learning and play
