Parents for Play Programme

Play is a child's way of being in the world and it starts from the moment they are born. Through play children have th opportunity to learn about themselves and the world around them. Play in important for parents too! With increasing pressures of modern life finding thime for play can be difficult, however playing with your child is a great opportunity for both of you to benefit from the shared experience that helps stregthen the bond between you the parent and your child.

"Make time for Play"
This introductory workshop provides an opportunity for parents to explore how and why children play, the importance of play and their parental role. This will be explored through practical ideas/games that can be used in the home, garden or at the park. The session is a fun and informal way for parents to get together and play.

Outcome of the programme:

"Parents for Play" 
Good quality play needn't cost anything except your time. Setting aside 20mins each day and making time for play with your children can be both beneficial to you and your child.

PlayBoard offer a 4 week programme which gives parents the oppportunity  to think and reflect on how they used to play as a child and the chance to rediscover those simple pleasures all over again. This programme will cover topics such as, What is Play?, The importance of Play and Why Play?. Also we will look at practical ideas/games that you can use with your child whether it being at home, the park or the garden for example
