DESCRIPTION:Lough Neagh Discovery Centre\, Oxford Island\, Craigavon. \n\n\n\nJoin us on 20 November – World Children’s Day. \n\n\n\nPlayBoard members are invited to join us for our 41st Annual General Meeting and Seminar taking place at Lough Neagh Discovery Centre\, Oxford Island\, Craigavon on 20 November\, to mark World Children’s Day. \n\n\n\nBook now: https://PBAGM2026.eventbrite.co.uk \n\n\n\nProgramme \n\n\n\n\n9:30am – 10:00am Registration\n\n\n\n10:00am – 10:30am PlayBoard’s Annual General Meeting\n\n\n\n10:30am – 10:45am Launch of PlayBoard’s Strategic Plan 2026-2029\n\n\n\n10:45am – 11:45am Seminar – Feeling Safe: The Sensory Side of Play\n\n\n\n11.45pm – Close with light refreshments.\n\n\n\n\nFeeling Safe: The Sensory Side of Play \n\n\n\nFollowing our AGM\, we are offering participants the opportunity to take part in a free\, interactive\, and practical workshop exploring how we can better understand and support children’s sensory needs through play. \n\n\n\nDuring the workshop we will look at: \n\n\n\n\nThe eight senses and how they influence the way children experience and respond to the world around them.\n\n\n\nSensory preferences and bias – recognising that we all process sensory information differently.\n\n\n\nSensory safety – understanding what children may need to feel regulated\, comfortable\, and ready to engage.\n\n\n\nSensory circuits – exploring how these can be adapted for individual preferences\, as well as how settings can use them together to assist transitions.\n\n\n\nPlayful activities to support individual sensory profiles – exploring simple\, fun activities that can be adapted to meet different sensory needs.\n\n\n\n\nThe session will be practical and interactive\, with an opportunity to explore some of the physical sensory integration resources available\, helping participants to consider how these could be used to support children in their own settings. \n\n\n\nThis event is also open to non-members. \n\n\n\nSign up for FREE PlayBoard membership.  \n\n\n\n\nBOOK NOW!
