The Department of Education are holding a Play Matters Celebratory Event on Tuesday 10 September, from 9.30am – 1.00pm at the Clandeboye Estate, Bangor.

The event will highlight the importance of play and leisure for children’s health and well-being and showcase the key elements of the EITP funded Play Matters project including the Play Shaper and Play for Parents programmes, delivered by PlayBoard.

You are invited to attend to hear from those who have participated in the programme and help celebrate the project’s success. You will hear about how Play Matters has worked with a range of stakeholders including councils, community planners, departments, health professionals, social workers, foster carers, childcare staff, parents and children themselves.

The innovative prison pilot which took place at Maghaberry and Hydebank Wood prisons will also be showcased, followed by some playful activities and a tour of the Clandeboye Nature Rangers.
