Main Purpose:

Provide the efficient, effective and economic delivery of the Bright Start School Aged Childcare programme ensuring targets are met and maximum benefit from the available funding is achieved.

The Project Officer will provide School Aged Childcare funded projects and their Management Committees, business support that will develop and improve their organisational capacity in becoming sustainable.

The successful applicant will have:

Essential Requirements

  • Have at least a level 3 qualification or above [e.g. NVQ Level 3] in one of the following = Business and Administration, Business, Accountancy, Bookkeeping or Creating & Starting a Business.

  • 3 years full-time or 5 years part-time equivalent within the past 5 years of developing and delivering training programmes to a wide stakeholder audience.

  • Experience of providing support to individuals, community groups and committees to improve their capacity and leadership in developing businesses including social enterprises.

  • Experience of implementing good financial governance policies and procedures.

  • Experience of Writing the following; A Programme for delivery to practitioners and Providing Reports e.g. progress reports / evaluation reports.

  • Demonstrate your Knowledge and understanding of the importance of Play for Children and Young People.

  • Strong communicator, with the ability to communicate effectively with different audiences to build, sustain and influence relationships.

The contract for this post will be initially for 1-year subject to funding continuing.
