Changes to Universal Credit have been announced which will apply from October and December 2021.

The changes include help with ‘upfront’ childcare costs for those moving into work, where eligible parents will be able to claim a grant of up to £1,500, and after the £20 per week reduction in Universal Credit comes a change to how earned income is treated meaning some claimants will see an increase in the Universal Credit award from December 2021.

A Family Benefits Advisor from Employers For Childcare will be presenting the session and will provide information on the financial supports available to help towards registered childcare costs including Universal Credit, Tax-Free Childcare, Tax Credits and Childcare Vouchers. The session will focus on how these various benefits work and what the upcoming changes could mean for parents and childcare providers.

Please note: Places are limited to two people per setting, per session and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
