PlayBoard delivers training across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. In addition to a range of established training courses such as Introduction to Playwork and Planning Play Opportunities, PlayBoard offers flexible, bespoke training which can be tailored to meet the needs of participants, and delivered locally or online.

PlayBoard’s highly skilled staff deliver training across a range of settings and to a variety of professional groups including: School Aged Childcare staff, child-minders, day care and nursery workers, youth workers, social workers, teachers, classroom assistants, and non-teaching staff within schools.

PlayBoard’s training typically offers an opportunity to take part in group work, focused discussions and a range of practical activities, and is delivered within a quality framework, as established by the SkillsActive Code of Practice.

“I found the course very refreshing … looking beyond play as a child’s activity. I saw it as a creative, embracing, open mechanism for developing staff ideas and for developing the way we approach the young people in our communities.”

“The preparation for the webinar was very professional and the facilitator really responded to what issues are being experienced by our practitioners locally, and designed the webinar to reflect this.

“I found the content very useful and interesting. I enjoyed the detailed discussions about outdoor play … we will use the information from this session to inform practice within our setting. The session was very well delivered and informative.”
