Saturday 10 October is World Mental Health Day. This year’s theme is ‘mental health for all’.

  • make the most of your potential
  • cope with life
  • play a full part in your family, workplace, community and among friends.” (Mental Health Foundation)

Play is crucial to children’s healthy development and happiness and is vital for children’s mental health and well-being. Play enables children to develop lifelong skills and competencies, including building confidence, friendships and resilience. Good play experiences can therefore help nurture children’s emotional and mental health.
