Chris Briggs, Senior Family Benefits Advisor from Employers For Childcare will be delivering an information session to School Age Childcare providers which will give an overview of the financial support available for parents towards the cost of registered School Age Childcare.
The session will look at how subsidies can contribute to the financial viability of settings, as well as the settings’ roles and responsibilities for implementation of these subsidies such as Universal Credit, Tax Credits, Childcare Vouchers, Tax-Free Childcare and the Northern Ireland Childcare Subsidy Scheme (NICSS).
During the session, providers will be given information on the new NICSS, who is eligible, how they can register and requirements for the scheme. With the implementation of the NICSS it is important for parents to check they are receiving the best form of support in their household circumstances, providers will discover how they can support parents to achieve this.
