The OUR Generation project has shared a new app produced by Action Mental Health and researchers from Ulster University. The app contains gamified content that aims to help children and young people improve their emotional resilience and build peace in their communities.
Children and young people helped in the design of the app as well as PlayBoard and the other project partners. The free app is divided into two age categories (11 years and under and 12 years plus) with activities including simple drag-and-drop games, videos, and links to sources of help and support.
The app is available to download from the Google Play Store and the Apple Store.
PlayBoard’s OUR Generation team joined with the other six partner organisations at an event recently to celebrate the work that has been undertaken over the three years of the project. The event also gave funders and key stakeholders a chance to hear about the scope of work and to see first-hand the impact that the project has had.
The stars of the show were the children and young people themselves – an amazing and incredibly inspiring group of young people who showcased the impact of the project so well. PlayBoard is extremely proud to have been part of a consortium that has achieved so much in the face of adversity over the past few years.
