School Belonging

Listening to the voice of the child - school belonging.

Video Details:

PlayBoard’s Inclusive Play Project focuses on ensuring that every child, regardless of needs and background, has a safe space to belong in school. Through the project, teachers and parents work together to ensure that environments are inclusive, champion the rights of the child, and recognise play as the most active, self-directed form of learning.

One of the most important parts of the project is learning to listen to the voice of the child through various forms of communication and observation. When out visiting schools, the Inclusive Play team listen to the children and gain their perspectives.

This video shares some of the ways schools can ensure that happens and how children can play their part too.
